We meet at 7:00pm on the second Tuesday of every month from September through May at the Minnesota History Center in St. Paul, unless otherwise noted below:

September 8             HARRY YEIDE, Author of BETTING AGAINST AMERICA, will show how Axis Powers misunderstood the ‘Sleeping Giant’ and its resolve to maintain a Peaceful World as it was emerging from the Depression

September 22              GARRETT GRAFF, Author of THE DEVIL REACHED TOWARD THE SKY, will show how the Secret construction of the Facilities at Oak Ridge, Hanford, and Sandia supported the Manhattan Project and the US into the Atomic Age

October 13                 DAVID WILLIAMS, Author of THE ROAD TO CISTERNA, describes the founding of the Rangers by William Darby and the large number of members who came out of the 34th Division from Minnesota and Iowa

October 27             RICHARD SHERMAN, Author of NEVER HOME, will show the cemeteries of the American Battle Monuments Commission around the world where our Service members are buried and some significant facts about some Veterans interred in them

November 10              THE DR. HAROLD C. DEUTSCH LECTURE: JONATHAN JORDAN, Author of IKE AND WINSTON, analyzes the relationship that was forged between the Supreme Commander and the British Prime Minister to execute the WWII Strategy and manage the Field Commanders of the Combined Allied Headquarters

December 8            MARK STILLE, Author of PEARL HARBOR, has written a comprehensive new analysis of the Japanese attack on December 7th and how the Initial disastrous results were turned into a Final defeat for Japan

January 12                  CRAIG LUTHER, Author of GUDERIAN’S PANZERS, highlights the operations of the 2nd Panzer Group to show the successes of Barbarossa in 1941 to the reversals that led to the collapse of the German Army as the Soviet Military gained the initiatives

February 9                   BRIAN JOHNSON, Author of THROUGH BLOOD AND BROTHERHOOD, will discuss the much overlooked events in Yugoslavia by the Tito Partisans as it disrupted the Nazi Operational Planning       AND JOHN CAPPELLO, founder of the HALYARD MISSION Foundation, will tell how the Serbs assisted rescue of 100s of downed US Airmen

March 9                       ERIC SETZEKORN, Author of UNCERTAIN ALLIES, will describe the military events In the China-Burma-India Theater (CBI) that attempted to stop the occupation of India by the Japanese by the Leadership of Joseph Stillwell, Claire Chennault and Merrill’s Marauders

March 23                    SARA VLADIC, Author of THE DANGEROUS SHORE, talks about many unlikely Heroes who have been largely overlooked that prevented the disastrous invasion of our sovereign shores

April 13                       JONATHAN HORN, Author of THE FATE OF THE GENERALS, describes the events of the Battle of the Philippines, the subsequent surrender, and the relations between Generals MacArthur and Wainwright     AND A Historian of the Brainerd Tank Company who will talk about their capture and subsequent brutal POW experiences

April 27 (Bonus Program)                       VINCENT O’HARA, Author of THE GREATEST NAVAL WAR EVER FOUGHT, unfolds the Global impact of the War fought on the waterways in all Theaters of hostilities in Europe and Asia

May 11                        KEVIN HYMEL, Author of PATTON – Volume 3, will tell the final years of the life of General Patton, from the closing attacks in the Battle of Bulge to the automobile accident that resulted in his death and the decision to select Luxemburg as the site for his internment
